Entrepreneurs Demo Night with VentureMeets

Entrepreneurs, inventors, idea makers -- learn how to present your startup to different audiences and how best to convey your company, invention, program, or idea. Start-ups will be at individual tables to practice ways to communicate, as the audience visit your tables and vote on the best presentations.  Learn communication strategies in a workshop-style format, from a local graduate turned entrepreneur who has garnered national attention, is at MassChallenge, and is actively presenting to investors. Sign up today -- it's free for students and entrepreneurs who will be presenting.

Guest Speaker:

Rebecca Liebman, co-founder LearnLux

Rebecca co-founded LearnLux, a company that makes online learning tools to teach personal finance skills to millennials. Previously, she founded Take Back the Tap at Clark and raised $20,000+ for environmental water projects in New England, lived in Kenya and studied microfinance in an informal economy and completed environmental research in Germany, France, Belgium, and Luxembourg. She's passionate about working with people to create a better world through the power of technology. She loves people, public speaking, and motivating others, especially on Mondays. She has a passion to learn as much as possible by being a student of life and questioning almost everything. She loves kayaking and other types of boats, but knows that the best ship is friendship!

In the last 10 months, she has accomplished the following: applied for and won one of the coveted spots at the latest MassChallenge accelerator program; winner of $50,000 and $10,00 at the 1776 Challenge Festivals; recognized as one of the world’s most promising edtech startups; named a top 20 out of 2,500 companies in the Forbes $1M Change the World Competition; winner of Student Pitch Contest at Tech Sandbox; pitched at the Piranha Pond Pitch Competition, and participated in the Clinton Global Initiative University.

Learn Rebecca’s successful approaches to communicating about her startup to different audiences. She will present several different examples of how your messaging will change, depending upon your audience, and the time you have to get your message across!
